Common mistakes to avoid in your practice of Tai Chi
Tension is the enemy of all martial arts, and Tai Chi is no exception. Tension affects your posture, which can throw off your stances. Always make sure you are in the correct position, and remain flexible. Don't let your head drop, since this will cause unnecessary tension in the neck. Make sure you keep your head upright, shoulders and waist relaxed, and feet in their proper position. If a position feels uncomfortable, it means the alignment of the body is incorrect. Tai Chi is a lifelong pursuit, and it's better to learn all forms properly, and at your own pace.
